News on Noe's Visa
Noe had his 22nd birthday, and he celebrated by going to Santa Ana with a friend to see a movie. I have his birthday present here for him when he comes. (a griddle/plancha to make tortillas and pupusas).
Today I called the embassy and they told me that Noe's interview will be on May 29th! So hopefully if all goes well, he will come to the USA shortly after that, in June. He seemed very excited when I told him the news!
Last night I went to a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer event at the UW and met many RPCVs and new PCVs waiting to start their adventures. I saw a Crisis Corps volunteer who I hadn't seen since we were both in El Salvador. He now runs the RPCV group in Seattle. Aparently the group goes out to eat a lot and does other activities like bowling, so Noe and I will have to join so we can meet the other RPCVs in the area.
